  1. Monitor Definitions

  3. Note:  [Text] = Item only exists under given circumstance
  4.  
  5. ‚Ä¢ Monitor# = Number of monitor as shown in Monitor control panel
  6.    ‚óä Active = Is the monitor currently recognized by the system?
  7.    ‚óä Main Screen = Does this monitor contain the menu bar?
  8.    ‚óä Color Device = Is this monitor set as a color device in the Monitor control
  9.               panel?
  10.    ‚óä Type = What method is used to determine color/gray scale level on this
  11.               monitor?
  12.    ‚óä Nubus/PDS Slot# = What slot/board is this monitor controlled by.  This can 
  13.               be cross-referenced in the Nubus/PDS list  [Has Nubus/PDS Slot]
  14.    ‚óä Driver# = What driver is controlling this monitor. Check driver list 
  15.              [Monitor Controlled by Driver]
  16.    ‚óä Screen Size = Dimensions of the screen in pixels (dots on screen)
  17.    ‚óä Resolution = Number of pixels per inch
  18.    ‚óä Pixel Depth = Number of bits of data required to store the information for
  19.               each pixel as set in the Monitor control panel.  The number in parentheses
  20.               indicates the number of colors/gray shades that can be shown on the
  21.               screen at once.
  22.    ‚óä Max Pixel Depth = Same as above but indicates the maximum pixel depth
  23.               that the given monitor can support as a function of the amount of video 
  24.               ram installed.
  25.       + Video Memory Needed = Memory required to support the maximum pixel 
  26.               depth.  This helps you to determine the amount of video memory available
  27.               to this monitor.
